In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
